Fees & Insurance

The Center for Stress, Anxiety, and Mood does not participate on insurance panels. Instead, we collect payment in full at the time of service, and provide "Superbills" with all the necessary codes for clients to submit to their insurance companies for reimbursement. The amount of reimbursement you receive will vary depending on your "out of network" psychotherapy benefits.

Questions to Ask Your Insurance Company

It is often helpful to call your insurance company ahead of time to inquire about your out-of-network benefits. Questions to ask include:

1. Do I have a deductible for out-of-network providers? If so, what is it, and how close am I to meeting it as of today?

2. Once my deductible is met, what is the reimbursement for the codes 90791 ("Diagnostic Assessment") and 90834 (45-Minute Psychotherapy)? Is the reimbursement a percentage, or a set dollar amount?

3. Is there a maximum “allowed amount” for each session?

4. Is there a limit on either a) the number of sessions, or b) the total dollar amount you will reimburse?
