About

Our practice
The Center for Stress, Anxiety, and Mood was founded in 2020 by Dr. Laura Skriner and Dr. Laura Rindlaub. “The Lauras” began as colleagues and friends, quickly connecting over a shared passion for providing high-quality, engaging, and effective treatment.
They decided to turn that shared passion into a mission, creating a therapy center where youth, adults, and families can find specialized, evidence-based care for stress, anxiety, and mood difficulties.

What to expect in therapy
We’ll guide you through every step
Therapy typically involves once- or twice-weekly sessions over a period of 12-20 weeks. At the Center, we use therapy approaches that are collaborative, goal-oriented, and skill-focused. Our goal is to help you gain clarity about your challenges, learn the skills needed to manage them, and practice those skills over time.
When appropriate, we may involve other family members or coordinate with your child’s school and other healthcare providers. As you make progress toward your goals, you and your clinician can decide together whether to reduce session frequency or conclude therapy.
Throughout the process, your clinician will carefully monitor your progress using evidence-based tools, including psychological questionnaires, progress tracking sheets, and your feedback. This helps ensure that therapy is effective, improving your or your child’s well-being, and moving you toward your goals.
