About
Dr. Tahani Chaudhry specializes in the evidence-based treatment of anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns in children and adults. She is passionate about helping people manage distress, recover from difficult experiences, and build more balanced and fulfilling lives. Fluent in Urdu and Hindi, she values inclusivity and cultural humility in her practice.
Tahani’s therapy style is warm, collaborative, and flexible. She draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and integrates mindfulness and culturally responsive approaches. Guided by a commitment to antiracism, she strives to create a safe and affirming space where clients can bring their full selves and feel deeply understood.
Tahani earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from George Mason University and completed her predoctoral internship at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her background includes clinical work, community education and research focused on relationship conflict, resilience, and healing in minoritized communities. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, reading books, and spending time with family and friends.
